Led by Dr. Mehrdad Hajibabaei, the Hajibabaei lab is part of the Department of Integrative Biology in the College of Biological Science, University of Guelph. We are based in the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics.

We conduct research on biodiversity, ecosystems and environmental change by investigating evolutionary processes at the genomic level and the use of sequence information. Our work spans from molecular evolutionary biology to technology development and bioinformatics.
